Job Responsibilities
As a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll travel across your region to manage and develop the teams in various care homes, helping deliver the high-quality care and service we're known for. Working closely with the General Manager or hiring manager, you'll help implement action plans to ensure our residents' needs are met.
In the absence of the General Manager, you will take on leadership duties, assisting with care standards and motivating your team. You'll inspire a multidisciplinary team to ensure every resident enjoys the best possible quality of life. This involves leading by example and monitoring standards through regular audits, supervised clinical practice, and regulatory compliance checks. You'll set high standards and utilize your skills to develop and deliver strategies to achieve your goals.
About You
To join us as a Peripatetic Deputy General Manager (Clinical), you'll need to be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching, mentoring, or supervision qualification. Previous experience in a nursing home setting is essential, along with evidence of continuous professional development. Experience in assisting residents with various health needs is important, as is a successful track record in managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments. We will also look for HR experience, strong knowledge of sales and marketing, an understanding of budget management, and a history of supporting newly qualified nurses through preceptorship. You must be compassionate, resilient, and determined to deliver quality care in our engaging and energetic environment. Flexibility and willingness to travel are also required.
