The role –
Core Purpose
· Inspire and challenge students to achieve their highest potential in Design Technology.
· Deliver innovative, engaging, and inclusive lessons that develop creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Contribute to a dynamic learning environment that supports the vision and values of Star International School, Mirdif.
Key Accountabilities
· Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of diverse learners, including POD, ELL, and G&T students.
· Use innovative teaching methods and integrate technology to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.
· Assess, record, and report student progress effectively, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
· Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
· Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives.
· Build strong relationships with parents, sharing regular updates on student progress and achievements.
· Promote the school’s ethos and values through active participation in school and community events.
Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Education : Relevant qualification: minimum of a Bed./ BA/ BSc in a relevant subject
Experience: Min of 2 years of experience as a DT teacher in a British school either internationally or in the UK.
