Role Purpose The purpose of this role is to develop, build and maintain long-term sustainable trading relationships through brokers in the Midlands and North of England with our range of legal expenses products. The individual is the primary point of contact for these brokers and co-ordinates the Company’s proposition to market enabling profitable growth of the account in line with ALP and team plans. The role also includes engaging with and providing support to Allianz Commercial branches in cross sell activity of legal expenses when being sold alongside other Allianz Commercial products. Develops new business opportunities through sales and marketing initiatives, campaigns, new product launches and re-introducing existing products. Raises and maintains awareness of business development activities and opportunities by liaising with the different teams across the Company, embracing the One Company principles. Delivers on the responsibilities set out within the Distribution Framework and ensures defined sales disciplines are successfully demonstrated. Maintains market awareness and monitors market changes providing appropriate feedback across relevant stakeholder groups. Manages and appoints intermediaries across our broker segments, complying with the relevant procedures, authorities and regulation. About you Technical skills Relationship management, networking, communication and negotiation skills. Understanding of the customer and broker propositions offered by the Company. A developing awareness of the UK insurance market. A developing awareness of business regulatory requirements. Qualifications ACII qualified or making progress towards achieving this. Educated to A-level, degree standard or equivalent. Experience Previous experience of developing business in a commercial intermediated environment is preferable but not essential. A track record of successfully managing broker and/or client relationships and securing new business accounts. Experience of managing communication across all stakeholder groups and a wide audience of internal and external audiences.
