The Role
As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Assist in creating and implementing individualized learning plans.
* Work closely with teachers and other staff to ensure a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive social interactions.
* Support students in developing coping strategies and emotional resilience.
Requirements
* Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a secondary school setting.
* Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH needs.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young people.
* Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
