Our client is looking for a Systems Administrator/1st Line Desktop Support to join their team on an initial contract until the end of the year with potential for extensions. This role requires someone to be working full time onsite in Northwood, and will be based on shift patterns (Days/Nights). This role is Outside IR35 and requires the candidate to have an active SC clearance.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
1. Knowledge and practical experience in VMware virtualization technology; configure, upgrade, deploy.
2. Knowledge and practical experience in configuring iSCSI targets for virtualized environments.
3. Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Server Technologies; Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.
4. Knowledge of ITIL IT service management model.
5. Knowledge of Incident and Problem Management processes and experience in this area.
6. Ability to write technical documentation and user guides.
7. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
8. Problem Solving - Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions; probes all fruitful sources for answers; can see hidden problems; looks beyond the obvious and doesn't stop at the first answer.
9.
