Principal Category Procurement Manager - Technology
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Principal Category Procurement Manager to join a well-established and ambitious ISP to drive efficiency and innovation across key Categories by implementing dynamic category strategies in partnership with the Head of Category Procurement.
Your role as Principal Category Procurement Manager will give you an opportunity to be the Architect and Deliverer of Procurement across Software and Technology - Lead Sourcing Events, Negotiate with Suppliers, Implement Compliance around Procurement Policies, and drive Business Standards resulting in a fully functional and fit for purpose Category Team.
Key responsibilities for this Principal Category Procurement Manager - Technology role:
- Handle tactical and strategic procurement
- Sourcing Event Management
- Category Management
- Manage Opex/Capex spend, contract approvals, and deliver savings within an ethical trading and legal framework.
- Lead dynamic sourcing events (RFS/RFI/RFP/BAFO) to secure essential technology goods and services, ensuring smooth and safe operations
- Work closely with the Commercial Contract Management team to manage supplier performance and contracts, ensuring alignment with Group procurement strategies
- accountable for delivering savings (embedded and cost avoidance), driving efficiency, and fostering strong supplier relationships
- support compliance initiatives and risk management activities related to OFCOM & TSA compliance, ISO Accreditations, H&S, data protection, information security, and financial controls.
- Innovation Sourcing, Strategic Supplier Management, P2P Strategy Execution, KPI Achievement, Data and Contract Management
Requirements for this Principal Category Procurement Manager role:
- 2-4 years' experience in Software and IT
- CIPS Level 4 - non negotiable
- NetSuite and Gatekeeper experience
- Telecommunications (FTTX) experience beneficial.
