An opportunity has arisen for you to join our Community Palliative Care Team as Deputy Team Lead. Working alongside the Community Team Lead, you will support the Clinical Nurse Specialists, Registered Nurses, and Multi-Skilled Health Care Assistants to support patients and their families who wish to be cared for and to die at home. The role will combine the dual responsibility of carrying a small caseload alongside specific leadership duties.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
1. Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse
2. Post-registration qualification at a degree level in palliative care or a related area of clinical practice
3. Leadership experience
4. Evidence of continued professional development
5. Significant post-registration experience in end-of-life care, palliative care or a related field
6. Experience of working in the community setting
7. Excellent knowledge of symptom control
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
