My client is a well established law firm specialising in family and commercial law.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide administrative and secretarial support to solicitors specialising in residential and commercial property conveyancing.
* Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents such as contracts, transfers, and leases.
* Liaise with clients, estate agents, and other third parties, managing communications effectively.
* Handle diary management, scheduling appointments, and maintaining electronic filing systems.
* Assist with the completion of Land Registry forms and other necessary documentation.
* Conduct searches and deal with post-completion tasks.
* General office duties, including scanning, filing, and answering phone calls.
The Successful Applicant
Person Specification:The ideal candidate will be an experienced legal secretary with a strong background in conveyancing, able to manage a variety of tasks and work well under pressure.
Skills and Experience Required :
* Proven experience as a legal secretary, ideally within a conveyancing department.
* Proficient in the use of case management systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* A keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
