Finance Director - Corbenyah Location: Manchester City Centre Reports to: CFO Corbenyah is a dynamic investment house specializing in seed and early-stage investments across healthcare, leisure, and property sectors. As we continue to expand our portfolio, we seek a talented and experienced Financial Director to lead and elevate our financial operations. Role Overview Reporting to the Group CFO with a current team of three, the Finance Director will be a key member of Corbenyah’s leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the business, including financial planning, reporting, compliance and analysis. You will play a pivotal role in delivering real-time reporting and actionable insights across our investment portfolio, driving sound decision-making and supporting growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities Financial Strategy & Leadership Develop and implement Corbenyah’s financial strategy in alignment with the company’s growth objectives. Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization, including investments, partnerships, and fundraising. Collaborate with the COO and CFO and other department heads to ensure financial sustainability and profitability. Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and tax planning. Deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports, including real-time dashboards and portfolio performance analysis. Introduce and maintain financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in reporting. Portfolio Management Analyze financial performance across the portfolio, providing insights and recommendations to maximize returns. Develop financial models to evaluate new investment opportunities and risks. Work closely with portfolio companies to ensure robust financial analysis and reporting. Working closely with Project Leads to analyze and understand their projects financial position. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to financial regulations and compliance standards. Implement and maintain a risk management framework across Corbenyah’s investments. Stakeholder Engagement Act as the primary financial liaison with investors, auditors, legal advisors, and regulatory bodies. Present financial results and forecasts to the Board of Directors and investors. Requirements Experience & Qualifications ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA qualified with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience. Proven track record as a senior financial leader. Strong experience in financial operations, portfolio management, and investment analysis. Skills & Competencies Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
