The Opportunity
Due to projects ramping up, an exciting opportunity has opened up for an experienced QC Inspector to join our client's leading engineering consultancy, where you will be at the forefront of a safety-first approach, to help drive all QC processes.
Contract: 6 months
This role has been deemed: Inside IR35
Salary: £45-£50 Per hour
Your Duties and Responsibilities
1. Promote a Nuclear and Personal Safety Culture
2. Ensure the quality standards of the joint venture and the client are consistently met and compliant with the specification
3. Encourage continuous improvements across the project
4. Promotion and implementation of the Project Quality Management System and Joint venture process
5. Interact with project construction and suppliers in accordance with ITP’s to ensure correct fabrication & installation
6. Conversant with nuclear fabrication specifications
7. Fluent with material certification review
8. Participate with audit activities both at supplier works and on-site
9. Timely, effective and concise reporting
10. Promote a disciplined approach to supplier deliverable approval and concurrent review of lifetime quality records
You Will Have the Following Experience & Qualifications
1. Nuclear experience working in a QA function or QC function with development into QA via lead audit and CQI membership
2. Oversight of subcontractors, compilation and review of lifetime records
3. Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and Sellafield CQRM
4. Maintenance of package status & progress reporting, raising issues and liaising with the project and client QA/QC team
5. CSWIP qualified Welding Inspector 3.1 or 3.2
6. PCN II qualified in LPI/MPI/RI/U/T
7. Painting Inspector, Qualified, Iccor level 2 or equivalent
8. NEBOSH/IOSH/CCNSG Safety Passport training
9. Understanding and familiarity of working within a team culture and JV environment
10. General MS Office Package
