As a Deputy Programme Manager, this role supports the Programme Manager in the delivery of Defence projects. Reporting to the Control Systems Account and as a linchpin in the Project Delivery Team, you'll have the chance to work on a high-profile control systems development programme.

Responsibilities:
1. Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and key stakeholders across the business.
2. Support the Programme/Account Manager to manage project relationships, including partners, suppliers, and beneficiaries, in line with agreements, supplier code of conduct and best practice stakeholder management and contract management.
3. Support the Business Development function in pursuing and capturing new opportunities through to award of the associated contract.
4. Provide robust leadership to drive team performance, competence, and talent, and be a mentor and role model.

We are looking for:
1. Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering/technical subject, or commensurate experience.
2. Project Management Experience, minimum of 10 years.
3. Team Leadership, with a strong aptitude for managing and developing people.
4. Able to work with people effectively at all levels, using well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills.
5. Able to deal with internal and external customers in a professional way, both in person, over the phone, and by email.
