The Role
Sofina Foods Ltd is looking for a Treasury Assistant to join our European Head Office in Malton. This role involves reconciling UK bank accounts, processing banking payments, and managing intercompany transfers. We offer study support and the potential for career progression across other areas of finance.
Duties Include:
1. Processing cash deposits, payments and transfers in multiple currencies
2. Updating ledgers and posting journals to daily deadlines, ensuring accuracy and completeness
3. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and assist in month end close
4. Investigate unallocated receipts and payments in a timely manner and resolve queries promptly
5. Prepare online banking payments and maintain Treasury Inbox
6. Ability to identify process improvements and work with manager to implement
7. Liaise with banks and internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
8. Other ad hoc duties as required
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Ideally 2 years' experience in a finance role - treasury/cash management experience (desirable).
2. AAT Level 3 qualified or equivalent (desirable)
3. Strong MS office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word etc..) (Essential)
4. Previous work experience of SAP (desirable)
5. Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
6. Ability to work within a fast paced, high-volume environment
7. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
8. Proven record of meeting deadlines
9. Strong communication skills both written and verbal
10. A proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
11. A team player, but with confidence working alone
