The role involves providing technical support and assistance in the in-house manufacture and certification of electronic products.
You will participate in the day-to-day production, ensuring compliance with technical standards and schedules, and supporting a small team to meet production goals.
At times, you may be required to provide hands-on assistance within the production department.
You will be responsible for ensuring that products comply with relevant UK and European legislation, including UKCA, ATEX, REACH, RoHS, and specific requirements for Functional Safety (IEC61508 SC2).
The role also involves engaging with suppliers, attending audits, and ensuring the proper documentation is in place.
Ensure all relevant documentation (IOMs, works instructions, certification) is correct and up to date.
Support hands-on manufacturing, including setting up, calibrating, fault-finding, and producing calibration reports for level transmitters.
Whats required:
A background in Electronics Design
BEng in Electrical Engineering is desirable, or an electronic engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
IET Functional Safety knowledge.
Proficiency in CAD SolidWorks.
Knowledge of relevant engineering standards, including UKCA, ATEX, and PED.
