We are looking for an experienced, creative marketing manager to join us. The successful candidate will help us to deliver the Aptem marketing plan, including product launches, large-scale industry events, lead generation strategy and retention strategy.
This is a dual-reporting role, so we are looking for a self-starter who, supported by a marketing department can guide marketing strategy and delivery for the Aptem Assess team. They will act as the internal customer with two lines of report - one into the Head of Aptem Assess, and the other into Aptem’s Chief Marketing Officer.
This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role supporting the growth of our newest product. This role will be remote-first, working from home, with occasional visits to our London office in Camden for team meetings, and across the UK managing events.
What is most important in this role?
* Creating and implementing a new product launch strategy for Aptem Assess, with the support of the CMO and Head of Aptem Assess.
* Ability to strategically plan and implement a marketing strategy, end-to-end using a framework approach (such as SOSTAC or RACE).
* Behaving as the ‘internal customer’ and ensuring that customer communications related to product updates / product information and marketing for customers is executed to a high standard and is the right thing for the client.
* Setting up and managing the following activity:
o Webinar events using Go To Webinar / Teams Webinar.
o LinkedIn organic and sponsored posts producing a variety of content – e.g. video, gifs, short and long form articles.
o E-campaigns using Pardot, with a focus on data maintenance and reporting – with the support of our Data Analyst.
o Membership events including webinars, commissioning research, sponsorship opportunities etc. You will also produce supporting communications to ensure high attendance and follow up as appropriate.
o Industry events.
o PR.
o Content marketing strategy, producing regular editorial pieces to be distributed across numerous channels including WordPress website. This will also involve producing infographics / videos using Canva or Camtasia, putting in place a ‘repurposing strategy’ to ensure content value is maximised and writing award entries.
* Working with the CMO to identify new marketing opportunities.
Main responsibilities
You will be proactively contributing to and implementing the Aptem marketing strategy. This will include setting up and managing:
* Strategically plan and deliver a marketing strategy using a proven approach.
* Pardot campaign management:
o Set up and distribute emails to target audiences.
o Ensure all campaigns are tracked correctly through to salesforce at individual campaign level.
o Create Dashboards within Salesforce to report on effectiveness of the marketing activity and proactively suggest improvements.
o A/B test campaigns where appropriate.
o Ensure data is kept up to date.
* Event management:
o Setting up and management of webinars/ other face-to-face events, including product training and customer forums.
o Liaising with any third parties.
o Producing and distributing follow up communications for attendees/registrants/no contacts.
o Contributing to promotion of events (with help of Marketing Director).
o Reporting on effectiveness of events – clicks from marketing campaigns, attendance, follow ups, leads, opportunities and conversions.
o Liaising with Sales team on follow ups.
* Uploading material to WordPress website:
o Uploading client logos, promotional videos, upload articles, news items, event participation and new content.
* Contributing to LinkedIn regularly with Aptem content and setting up sponsored campaigns:
o Producing regular content – editorial, videos, animated gifs, images etc. To promote Aptem both on Aptem owned page and sponsored.
o Setting up campaign landing pages on website where appropriate.
o Creating LinkedIn advertising campaigns.
o Producing analytics and recommendations for improvements, to increase followers, engagement and impressions. Also determine effect on site visits as a result of social activity.
* Content management:
o Originating new content in a variety of formats including long form editorial, blogs, infographics, animated gifs, surveys etc.
o Repurposing content: Creating a plan to repurpose content and use in multiple ways to maximise opportunity to see.
o Writing industry award entries.

* Excellent copywriting skills – email marketing, editorial articles and social posts.
* Excellent knowledge and experience using Pardot and Salesforce to execute and report on campaigns.
* Good knowledge of WordPress.
* Good knowledge of LinkedIn for Business and LinkedIn organic.
* Good knowledge of Go To Webinar / Teams Webinar or other webinar platforms.
* Working knowledge of Office 365 applications (Outlook, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
* Good knowledge of Canva – or equivalent to produce graphics / gifs etc.
* Knowledge of video editing.
