Job Summary
We are seeking a Housekeeping Department Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of cleanliness, and provide training and coaching to housekeeping employees.
Responsibilities
* Manage Housekeeping and Laundry departments, focusing on employee satisfaction, productivity, and guest satisfaction.
* Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards, and manage operating expenses to maximize costs while providing excellent guest services.
* Coordinate departmental activities with other departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction.
* Facilitate training, evaluate job performance, and provide ongoing training and development.
* Interact with housekeeping employees, evaluate, coach, counsel, and provide leadership support.
* Conduct room inspections, provide feedback to room attendants, and manage administrative duties.
* Liaise with staff from various departments, including Front Office, Engineering, and Stores.
Candidate Requirements
* Must be able to communicate effectively in the primary language of the workplace.
* Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Must possess basic computer skills, math skills, and budgetary analysis capabilities.
* Previous experience in a supervisory role is essential.
