We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Sefton to assist with the appointment of a Youth Justice Delivery and Intervention Worker, on a 6-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £16.33 - £20.55 per Hour
Summary:
The Youth Justice Delivery and Interventions Worker is responsible for improving outcomes, safeguarding, and promoting the welfare of children aged 10-18 years and their families. This role involves delivering high-quality interventions, acting as the single point of contact for the child, and coordinating a holistic support plan. The primary focus is to prevent offending, support children in engaging with positive activities, and promote access to education, training, and employment.
Responsibilities:
* Case Management & Intervention: Manage and progress a caseload to achieve positive outcomes for children using a solution-focused approach in line with local guidance and statutory legislation. Assess levels of risk, vulnerability, and safeguarding using prescribed assessment tools and develop personalized intervention plans that address these factors.
* Assessment & Planning: Develop and implement needs-led plans in collaboration with children and families, ensuring the childs and parent/carer's voices are captured throughout the process. Regularly review and update intervention plans in line with case management standards while maintaining a focus on safeguarding.
* Community & Family Engagement: Conduct home visits to ensure the welfare and safety of children within the community. Increase parental engagement by strengthening family relationships and providing supportive resources to enhance their capacity to support their child.
* Collaboration & Reporting: Work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners to deliver joined-up services for children and families. Participate in training sessions, reviews, and multi-agency meetings to contribute to service development and continuous improvement.
* Operational Duties: Record and manage case details accurately on the Youth Justice Service (YJS) system, ensuring that exit strategies are clearly documented and cases are closed within prescribed time limits. Identify and propose improvements to operational systems and contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the Youth Justice Service.
Qualifications:
* GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
* Level 3 qualification or significant evidenced experience in Youth Justice Work, Family Support, or Early Intervention.
Experience required:
* Proven experience working with children and families in areas such as Youth Justice, Family Support, or Early Intervention.
* Ability to assess risk and develop intervention plans tailored to individual needs.
* Experience using case management systems and maintaining accurate records.
Essential:
* Knowledge of safeguarding and risk assessment frameworks.
* Strong communication skills to engage with children, families, and external partners.
* Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required.
