Job summary Multi-skilled Maintenance Craftsperson (Mechanical bias) The Estates Department is looking to appoint an enthusiastic working Shift Mechanical Craftsperson with demonstrable experience in the operation and maintenance of engineering services. The post holder will work with in the engineering team ensuring the effective maintenance and operation of all buildings, plant and associated services in an efficient, economical and safe manner in accordance with all statutory, NHS Trust and departmental guidelines. This role will provide a 'Front of House' service and requires excellent communication skills liaising directly with clinical and non-clinical service users. The post holder will be expected to lead by example and set the standard for the estates front of house team and have a strongly held commitment to delivering a professional estate service. The successful applicant must have widespread knowledge of repair and maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with good practice guides, relevant statutory legislation, codes of practice, preferably gained in a healthcare environment. In addition, the candidate should also have sound knowledge of Mechanical systems with some Electrical Knowledge (Desirable) and BMS systems. The candidate must be pro-active, dynamic and enthusiastic with a flexible approach to working and willing to undertake additional training.
