Job Summary: In this role, you will be expected to manage all aspects of the calibration & workshop activities and report on relevant KPIs. You shall work closely with the Calibration Manager on productivity and efficiency reporting related to the calibration lab & workshop. You will direct and delegate the team, encourage productivity, and promote the brand values of Endress+Hauser within and outside the business. Work closely with your team on planning work scopes and schedules.
Main Responsibilities
1. Daily management of the Workshop & Calibration lab.
2. Overall responsibility for work scheduling.
3. Ensure a timely response to customer requirements.
4. Control of workshop spare parts.
5. Provide an effective interface between the company and the customer for all workshop and calibration service-related aspects.
6. Ensure technicians complete their training plans in a timely manner.
7. Monitor and develop the QMS and utilize it to work towards the technicians' technical profile.
8. Maintain the department's standard operating procedures.
9. Preparation of departmental KPIs monthly and report these to the Calibration Manager.
10. Work closely with the technicians on company health & safety issues.
11. Carry out the annual technicians PDRs.
12. Continuous improvements & implementation planning around the Workshop & Lab processes.
13. Maintain our ISO 17025 and UKAS accreditation.
14. Collaborate with the wider Endress+Hauser business processes.
Qualification + Profile
1. Ideally educated to HNC
2. Preferably worked in a similar environment
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Experience in supervising a team
5. Good commercial acumen
6. Strong customer service skills
7. High level of understanding of metrology & uncertainty budgets
8. Experience working with ISO/UKAS standards
9. Strong collaboration skills
10. Highly motivated
11. Experience in project design & implementation
