A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Surface Treatments to join their multi-disciplined team to help produce world-class aerospace components. Collaborating with key stakeholders, this role will include developing and optimizing special processes to boost durability and stress resistance, whilst ensuring that parts comply with NADCAP & AS9100.
Essential Requirements
* Degree or HNC/D within an engineering discipline and proven aerospace experience.
* Experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role within the Aerospace, Automotive or Medical Industries.
* Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new processes and manufacturing techniques.
* Ability to understand and communicate requirements of industry/international/customer specifications to the wider business.
* CAD for fixture design.
Desirable
* Experience as an ME or QE Special Processes in Aerospace manufacturing (Shot peening, Painting, Coating, Plating, Heat Treatment etc.).
* Robot programming experience or qualifications.
* Qualifications and experience with quality management tools such as PFMEA, 8D problem solving etc.
