Location: Mayfair
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 to 18:00 – Office-based (with some flexibility available)
Salary: £65,000

About the Role:
The City Recruiter is excited to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced Logistics Manager on behalf of their prestigious client. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the day-to-day logistical operations of a dynamic and innovative company, known for its focus on quality and customer satisfaction. You will play a key role in managing third-party logistics (3PL) partners, improving fulfilment processes, and ensuring the safe movement of fine wine and spirits.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics Oversight:
* Oversee the daily logistics operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and compliance with service agreements.
* Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) partners, ensuring adherence to quality controls and service level agreements (SLAs).
* Ensure safe and compliant handling, movement, and storage of products both domestically and internationally, with a primary focus on the UK market.
* Work closely with key internal stakeholders, including the Managing Director, to manage partner warehouses, suppliers, and customers.
* Manage the logistics of tax and import/export processes across all operational markets.
* Negotiate transport rates and continuously work to optimise costs per bottle or case.
* Work to improve customer satisfaction by streamlining fulfilment processes and meeting internal and external lead time targets.
* Oversee the export of stock to trade partners and consumers outside the UK.
Wine Operations:
* Manage stock, inbound and outbound logistics, and supply chain processes for wine.
* Ensure new suppliers adhere to compliance requirements and regulatory obligations, including REX numbers.
* Coordinate logistics for collections, stock loading, customs clearances, and domestic/international shipments.
* Prepare and file Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) to ensure accurate and timely stock movements.
* Manage the smooth intake of stock into warehousing systems, ensuring data integrity and accurate documentation.
E-commerce Logistics:
* Maintain and optimise relationships with third-party fulfilment partners, ensuring SLAs are met.
* Support the setup and ongoing optimisation of front-end (Shopify) and back-end (Unleashed, VCIS) systems.
* Resolve delivery issues, manage order holds, track stock levels, and handle refunds and returns.
* Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Skills and Experience Required:
* Proven experience with an ERP system is essential.
* Full understanding of the import process, including recent changes to Duty Banding/ERP/PRN.
* Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
* Prior experience in stock management, ideally within the drinks industry.
* Comfortable with technology and IT systems.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders across the supply chain.
* A proactive problem-solver with the ability to manage a varied workload.
* Organised and diligent with effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* High levels of integrity and trustworthiness.
