These roles will require the individual to support a class in their learning and development alongside the teacher's direction. In some cases, you may need to support students one-to-one or in small groups.
To be considered for a role as a Teaching Assistant in Bristol, you need to be able to use your own initiative and confidently support students with their learning, as well as doing what's best for their well-being. You should be able to think outside the box and adapt to situations when required. Be aware that this role may include behaviour management within the classroom during lessons. A classroom teaching assistant will be required to work as a team with the teacher and other members of staff in order to support the students and grow their development.
Key Details:
1. £90 - £100 per day depending on expectations and experience
2. Usually 8:30am - 3:30pm (could potentially differ depending on the school)
3. Daily supply cover / Short-term / Long-term contracts / Permanent roles
4. Mainstream / SEN / SEMH
5. Local schools in Bristol
