Job summary – What to expect: As the Warehouse Operator, you will maintain the day-to-day operation of the Raw Materials Warehouse functions across both Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites, ensuring the receiving, storage maintenance and issue of Inventory is in accordance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). You will be responsible for addressing and resolving issues as needed to maintain optimal operational workflow and keep the Warehouse Team Leader informed of any work-related challenges that could impact the Warehouse teams' ability to meet their objectives. Additionally, you will: Comply with Health & Safety at Work Act and promote good EHS and GMP practice within the Shift Team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the area. Particularly, ensure the safe use of specialist equipment such as fork-lift trucks, pallet movers, racking, refrigeration, and other electrical equipment. Correctly label Materials with the prescribed information. In case of a status change (e.g. in/out of quarantine, pending analysis & release, extension of expiry) re-label the Materials according to the updated status as directed by QA and change their status in the system. Provide a secure point of delivery for courier drop-offs, including Engineering Spares and parcels for the wider UKM business. Distribute parcels/contents as directed, including Engineering Spares, to the identified holding area. Drive company vehicles on and between CV UKM sites and off-site storage facilities to make all necessary deliveries and collections fulfilling the business requirements for materials flow. Includes operating all necessary materials handling equipment. Driver competence for Vehicles and FLTs must be maintained at the required (high) level. Pick and issue Materials for the user businesses to the agreed quality standards, verifying all items are present and correct. Distribute materials to the user businesses in line with daily stock replenishment plans. Preserve temperature integrity of all cold storage warehouse facilities, by recording temperatures daily, maintaining a daily record and reporting temperature variances to the Team Leader. As directed by the Cycle Count Leader, participate in all Inventory Cycle Counting activities between all warehouses on any of the UKM sites. Ensure rigorous inventory integrity for all items, especially high value items held within the warehouses. Operate computer-based systems including Baan, CVM SAMM, ServiceNow, Printers, Agile and MS Office. Ensure the departmental KSI targets are met and where possible exceeded in compliance with the organization’s requirements, including production targets, quality standards and customer requirements. Follow all systems, procedures, routines for accurately completing and archiving department records. Work with Inventory Planning & Supply Co-ordinators, Procurement, QA and other departmental interfaces and co-workers to strengthen the supply chain to Manufacturing. Support Manufacturing and take pro-active action to resolve any stock issues that may adversely impact production plan achievement. Receive new training and train others as determined by the departmental training matrix. Training must be in accordance with relevant SOPs and associated documents. Share product knowledge within the department. Respond to problems in relation to the Warehouse functions, communicating any issues to Line Management to ensure minimum disruption, maximum service levels and optimized work / task planning. Demonstrate a high level of teamwork, contributing to an engaged and inclusive working environment, whilst able to self-motivate. Cover for Warehouse Team Leader if absent. About you: We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of warehouse procedures and environment, as well as knowledge of computer inventory systems and Microsoft office or the competence to achieve this. A full, clean driving license is required. Experience & Education: Good working knowledge of Warehouse procedures and environment, computer inventory systems and Microsoft office (or competence to achieve this). Materials Handling Equipment License: forklift trucks, pallet stacker and necessary associated attachments such as barrel lifter and extensions (or competence to achieve this). Full clean Driving License (vehicles up to 3.5 tones) Strong communication skills and problem solving. Work Environment: Post-holders working environment will be a combination of indoor and outdoor working within the Warehouse areas, including Cold Stores, yards and drop-off/collection points around the Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites. Driving company delivery vehicles and operation of manual handling equipment such as FLTs with safe and competent operating technique is essential. Designated safety PPE must be worn.
