Job Purpose:
We are looking for skilled Air Conditioning/Chiller Engineers to provide operational support to the North West & North East.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Proactively deliver engineering tasks including maintenance and service visits to a variety of equipment, including Splits, VRF systems, CRAC units, and associated controls.
2. Carry out service and reactive breakdown cover during normal working hours.
3. Participate in Out of Hours work and Standby Rota.
4. Observe internal and client support functions to meet the requirements and objectives of our customers and our business.
5. Ensure that engineering tasks are carried out professionally.
6. Be responsible for the quality of each engineering task in support of contract responsibilities, ensuring all practices conform to agreed standards and processes.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
1. Demonstrate appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required, e.g., 2079 Refrigerant handling.
2. Successfully completed a recognized training course in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or provide evidence of equivalent work experience.
3. Possess a good base knowledge and experience of maintenance & service duties on VRF systems as well as medium to large tonnage chillers.
4. Proven knowledge of CRAC Units, Air Conditioning Splits & Cassettes, and VRV/VRF systems from all major manufacturers.
5. Knowledge of refrigeration scroll and screw compressors, and large central plant chilled water systems from manufacturers such as Carrier, York, McQuay, Climaveneta, Daikin, Trane, J&E Hall, GEA is advantageous but not essential.
6. Ability to work in a team or independently depending on the task.
