SEN Tutor based in Orpington Bromely - Full time - ASAP start
Remedy Education are looking for a Secondary Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with SEN. You will be teaching the student's core subjects.
The young student has ASD, challenging behaviour, and needs special support throughout the day.
SEN experience needed: You will work privately or through the local authorities on a 1:1 basis to make a difference to children with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other additional needs.
To be a SEN Tutor, you will need:
* QTS or at least 1 year of experience teaching and assessing English and/or Maths and/or Science in primary and/or secondary schools;
* At least 2 years' experience working with SEN, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD, PDA, dysgraphia, and global developmental delay;
* A proven record of being able to heighten pupils' confidence, self-esteem, and love of learning;
* 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability, and honesty;
* To creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching;
* Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills;
* An excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these;
* The ability to deal with possible behaviour issues;
* An Enhanced DBS on the update service;
* A willingness to apply for public liability and professional indemnity insurance;
* Register to work as self-employed.
