Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with a successful family-run business based in Perth in order to appoint a Finance Manager to support business growth and enhance the finance function. This role is essential and reports directly to the business owner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage part-time finance assistant
* Process AP invoices
* Manage and support part-time finance assistant in generating internal sales invoices
* Process sales invoices
* Process AP payment run
* Process all receipts and payments through the bank and accounting system
* Monitor and maintain AR balances
* Monthly bank reconciliations
* Accruals and prepayments
* Ensure the collection of all time records in advance of running payroll
* Process payroll, for all employees using sage payroll and accounts systems
* Process month-end journals to support month-end reporting
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis to support month-end reporting and resolution of issues arising
* Ensure that the business is prepared for audit
* Assist owner with ad hoc duties as they arise including providing information in relation to the sale process
The Individual:
* Part qualified or QBE
* Strong Excel and analytical skills
* Strong verbal and communication skills
* Confident in own ability and willingness to learn
* Ability to manage own workload and support finance assistant
* Can do attitude
