About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Systems Engineer Manager with knowledge of Findur or Endur Treasury Management System (TMS) to join our Treasury Technology team in the UK.
As a Systems Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining a high-performing team that consistently delivers quality outcomes, while empowering our engineers to make their own technical decisions. You will work effectively with internal and external business stakeholders and product teams to ensure the right outcomes are delivered, while formulating the technical strategy and roadmap for the area.
About the Team:
The Treasury Technology team will be based across the UK and India and is part of our wider Finance systems engineering team. The UK team focuses on enhancing our treasury system with a wider roadmap for development alongside the strategic solution of Findur, while our team in India will focus on maintaining and operating the current solutions.
This role can be based out of either our London Farringdon or Welwyn Garden City office (depending on your home location). Candidates should be able to communicate with either office from time to time.

Responsibilities:
* Formulate the technical strategy and roadmap for treasury technology to support business growth and maintain competitive advantage.
* Drive architecture, design, implementation, and reusability of technology, specifically Findur, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
* Manage and develop a small treasury engineering team to deliver on the Treasury roadmap, building high-performing teams.
* Ensure the environment and processes facilitate high-quality system delivery.
* Ensure the right product outcomes through appropriate technical strategies and trade-offs.
* Hire, retain, and develop engineers, providing growth opportunities and maintaining motivation.
* Establish and maintain a development environment conducive to success.
* Align processes, practices, and standards with wider technology strategies.
* Evaluate and recommend suitable products to meet business needs.
* Drive continuous improvement, guiding engineers to own technical decisions while knowing when guidance is needed.
* Lead major system projects, upgrades, and change initiatives, ensuring all functional and system requirements are considered.
* Provide subject matter expertise on Treasury systems and interfaces during projects and change initiatives.
* Design solutions for infrastructure and applications, and ensure proper testing, data validation, and deployment processes.
Minimum Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of configuration and data structure of Openlink Findur or Endur TMS, with significant experience in Findur preferred.
* Hands-on experience with financial instruments and Openlink Findur modules.
* Experience with large-scale system projects, including upgrades and major changes.
* Ability to analyze, debug, and resolve system issues, with skills in AVS, JVS, and MS SQL Server.
* Understanding of systems architecture, including database, application, presentation, and network layers.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
* Experience with tools such as Eclipse and MSSQL Server.
* Understanding of financial concepts and operations.
* Knowledge of project methodologies like Agile and Scrum.
* Experience managing small teams and resource management.
