Job Title: Bespoke Project Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Bespoke Project Engineer to join our Strategy, Improvement, and Quality Management team within the Bespoke Engineering and Purchasing function. In this role, you will coordinate strategy deployment, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure that the highest quality standards are met, contributing to the successful development and delivery of bespoke engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategy Coordination: Work within a cross-functional team, coordinating strategy deployment across multiple engineering disciplines (series liaison, bespoke mechanical, bespoke electrical, release) and external supply chain disciplines (purchasing and supplied parts quality).
* Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives within the organization. Focus on maximizing employee engagement through structured improvement programs and sprint projects, and lead digitalization efforts to achieve efficiency gains.
* Quality Management: Coordinate quality management actions, including audits and evaluations, ensuring that all work is performed to the required standards.
* Cross-Functional Leadership: Take on a cross-functional steering, influence, and reporting role, helping guide and support teams across various projects.
* Operational Oversight: Contribute to budget steering, compliance management, facilities management, training, and the scheduling and facilitation of communication events.
What We Are Looking For:
* Education: A university degree in Engineering, Business Management / Improvement, or a suitable alternative.
* Industry Experience: Significant professional experience in the automotive industry, with a solid understanding of operational excellence methods.
* Knowledge & Expertise: Expertise in automotive best practice tools and methods, with the ability to communicate and instruct at a “trainer level.”
* Digital Competence: Ability to conceptualize and steer digital tools and methods to drive organizational improvements.
* Leadership & Initiative: A proactive, enthusiastic individual who can inspire others, build networks, and take initiative to drive change.
