Vacancy: Cost & Planning Engineer Location: Clitheroe Job Family: Engineering The Planning and Cost Control Engineer monitors the delivery of all capital projects from initiation to closure. You must be able to work with multiple stakeholders who can often have different requirements. The establishment of clear project plans and costings whilst maintaining stakeholder buy-in is essential. You will be responsible for planning and reporting of the site's capital projects with a combined yearly spend of between £5M and £10M. You will plan all the major plant shutdowns and need to be able to recognise all of the EHS implications and plan accordingly. You will be required to monitor and challenge EPCm's reporting requirements. Your responsibilities: Responsible for setting the site standard for Project Controls Prepares project plans for all capital projects on the Clitheroe Site. Liaise directly with PM's and Project Sponsors to ensure critical project milestones are agreed and correctly monitored. Set up and manage metrics to monitor performance against each Project and make the Project Group Manager and Engineering Manager aware of any issues. Collaborate with EPCm's and challenge schedules and costings to ensure projects meets site deliverables. Maintains an overall capital resource delivery plan which allows the ongoing manpower requirements to be foreseen. Requirements for the role: You must be someone who has tracked a varied portfolio of improvements, modifications, task management systems or capital projects from inception to successful completion and have experience within a corporate environment ideally operating in Chemicals manufacturing or hazardous materials, including top tier COMAH or other highly regulated business. You must have an engineering background but also possess a good knowledge of JM's financial systems. You wil have extensive knowledge and proven use of industry standard planning applications MS Project and/or Primavera P6 You will extensive knowledge and proven use of MS Excel Hybrid working is available for this role with a minimum of 3 days onsite and 2 days from home.
