JOB DESCRIPTION
The Product Manager provides strategic leadership for the product line throughout the life cycle of the product, managing day-to-day support of market requirements, the introduction of new product lines, its launch, and commercialization phases. In addition, they facilitate new product development strategies and work closely with sales and engineering to ensure those strategies support market growth requirements. The product strategy addresses product positioning, product line features and pricing, target segments, and timelines for commercialization, as well as product line rationalization. Top-side revenue growth, margin maximization, marketing support, and geographical expansion are key responsibilities of the product manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* In conjunction with regional business development and territory sales managers for industrial equipment, identify opportunities in new and current markets to pursue to exceed booking and revenue plans.
* Develop strategic plans to deliver growth and increased profitability to the solids handling business to achieve year-on-year growth.
* Continually review and identify opportunities to develop our portfolio of offerings to grow our business and better support our network partners with the promotion of the WasteTec products, ensuring products are prioritized by distributors and that they are motivated to market them.
* Identify opportunities/gaps in the market that we can offer solutions/packages and commercialize for global rollout.
* Provide monthly financial updates for the commercial team on the compilation of monthly booking and sales forecasts for budgeting and resource planning.
* Support the Commercial Director and Product Line Director with the construction of yearly financial plans and provide detailed plans to support any future investment.
* Support regional commercial teams with the development of new teams and locations competencies and product training.
* Proactively and positively present our current service offerings and value-added case histories to new and existing customers and provide regular updates on our service strategies to regional sales and business development teams.
* Review and develop business processes that allow for the feedback of opportunities for product improvements or enhancements to the industrial pump group and represent the service group at quarterly sales meetings.
* Support the aftermarket team in developing a strong safety culture across the aftermarket organization.
* Help define and oversee the marketing strategy, including exhibitions, marketing campaigns, internal communications, brand management, distributor support, websites, social channels, product collateral, and PR/training video production.

Education/Experience
* Relevant Engineering Degree or experience
* 10+ years experience within the industrial pumping service and aftermarket business
* Track record of converting customer inquiries into profitable business
* Strong track record of building strategies and implementing them to deliver year-on-year growth.
* Technical expertise/knowledge to facilitate onboarding and support of the service and aftermarket business.
* Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, and Outlook)
* Knowledge of industry standards
* Process, Industrial, and Production Technologies including rotating equipment and related components.
