Main purpose of the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Payroll and Benefits Manager for the EMEA region. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing payroll and benefits administration across multiple countries within the region, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and providing strategic direction to optimize payroll processes and benefits programs. This role requires a deep understanding of regional payroll practices, tax regulations, and employee benefits schemes.
We use an external payroll provider, so the primary focus is to liaise between local account managers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate information is uploaded by the respective deadlines. They will also support with the administration of all company benefits.
Key duties and responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple countries within the EMEA region, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of payments.
* Ensure compliance with country-specific payroll regulations, tax laws, and social security requirements for each jurisdiction.
* Collaborate with local payroll providers to collect and validate payroll inputs, including salaries, benefits, allowances, and deductions.
* Review and validate payroll calculations, including statutory deductions, bonuses, and overtime, for each country.
* Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll and benefits operations.
* Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues from employees across different countries.
* Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and compliance requirements for each country within the EMEA region.
* Extract reports from our expenses portal and manage system access for EMEA users.
* Participate in the evaluation and implementation of process improvements or enhancements.
* Support Finance with year-end payroll processes, including the production of annual tax statements and compliance reports for each country.
* Oversee the administration of company benefits for UK and EMEA, including renewals, employee queries, and interactions with our benefits intermediaries.
* Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities for payroll-related audits, compliance checks, and reporting requirements.

Education and experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits for UK and EMEA.
Working knowledge of payroll and expenses systems (must have experience with ADP Celergo).
Confident using Excel, especially V Lookups.
Good knowledge of legislation, principles and regulations relevant to payroll.
Studying towards CIPP qualification would be beneficial, but not necessary.
Excellent attention to detail.
A keen problem-solver, with strong mathematic skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
A learning mindset, able to stay updated on changes to EMEA payroll regulations.
Certification or professional qualifications in payroll or related field is advantageous.
