The IT Technician supports the day-to-day operation of the schools IT services, providing frontline technical support to staff and students. The role focuses on maintaining hardware and software, assisting with user support, troubleshooting issues, and helping to ensure the schools IT systems run smoothly. The Role Help administer the schools computerised systems supporting the IT Manager/IT Systems Administrator Support and maintain the Level 1, 2 Helpdesk Troubleshoot end user desktop hardware & software problems Setup and maintain new desktop hardware and machines Help maintain the schools iPad fleet through Jamf MDM (Mobile Device Management System) Carry out IT related projects as assigned in a diverse environment Setup and maintain user accounts in active directory, Office365, ParentPay Skills and Experience required Familiar with current Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems, Microsoft 365, and standard applications in a domain environment Experience in troubleshooting, network and desktop issues Ask precise questions and gather enough information in order to be able to diagnose and solve IT problems and discern the level of support required Maintain a pleasant and professional manner when dealing with end users Work as part of a team and maintain composure in the face of changing workloads and constant interruptions MCSA or equivalent knowledge Help Desk L1 and L2 experience What's on offer Good salary 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and Christmas holidays (the IT department may be required to work on a minimum cover rota during all school holidays) Free on-site parking Family friendly policies to support work- life- balance On-site Cafeteria with high quality food options for excellent value Excellent pension scheme Enhanced sick pay Beautiful working environment Cycle to work' scheme In your application, including details of how you meet each of the essential criteria listed on the person specification.
