Are you a passionate and qualified Secondary Teacher looking to inspire students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4? A vibrant secondary school in Kendal, with a student body of approximately 900 pupils, is seeking a dedicated educator to join their team and deliver high-quality teaching across your specialist subject area.
The school prides itself on fostering a supportive and inclusive environment, with class sizes of 25-30 students, allowing for focused and engaging lessons. As part of a collaborative team, you’ll play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential and prepare for their GCSEs.
We are looking for a teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), strong subject knowledge, and the ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons. Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to Key Stage 3&4 curriculum requirements.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and creativity.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching strategies as needed.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and enriching learning environment.
* Support students’ academic, social, and emotional development through tailored learning opportunities.
* Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning space.
* Contribute to school events, extracurricular activities, and parent engagement initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Proven experience teaching within Key Stage 3&4.
* A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and the ability to create innovative lesson plans.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
* Effective classroom management skills to maintain a structured and engaging environment.
