Roles & Responsibilities
* Product Development: Collaborate closely with the Commercial and New Product Development (NPD) teams to assess and enhance existing products and processes, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.
* Equipment Assembly: Responsible for the assembly and commissioning of dry block calibrators, verifiers, and related equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and quality requirements.
* Equipment Repairs: Perform thorough assessments and repairs of customer equipment, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
* Calibration: Conduct calibrations of various equipment, including temperature, relative humidity (RH), pH, scales, and weights, in accordance with relevant standards.
* Additional Responsibilities: Provide support for various tasks across the Operations Department as needed. Responsibilities may include product preparation, order picking, stocktaking, laser marking, and other tasks assigned by your manager.
Performance Objectives
* Ensure that non-conformances are less than 0.5% of orders picked and despatched.
* To jointly achieve with colleagues 100% despatch of all "Lab" orders for stocked and/or available received before 16:00pm.
Skills Required
* Qualifications & Experience: A BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Electrical/Electronics or an equivalent qualification, with hands-on experience in the field.
* Testing Proficiency: Skilled in using power supply units (PSUs), multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other testing equipment to perform accurate diagnostics.
* Problem-Solving Expertise: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve technical issues.
* Circuit Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, with expertise in fault-finding down to the component level.
* Technical Documentation: Capable of creating and editing technical instructions and documentation.
* Soldering Skills: Experienced in soldering with a focus on precision and quality.
