About the Company:
We are a leading main contractor specializing in high-quality commercial refurbishment projects. With a strong track record of delivering successful projects across London, we are now seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team for an exciting refurbishment project in West London. This will be working on a £150million commercial office refurbishment project.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the cost aspects of the refurbishment project from inception to completion.
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client specifications.
* Provide regular cost reports and project forecasts to senior management and clients.
* Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and cost control measures to keep the project within budget.
* Assist in the procurement process, including the selection and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensure that all contractual obligations are met and any issues are resolved in a timely manner.
* Monitor the financial performance of the project and report on any risks or opportunities for cost savings.
* Work closely with site teams, architects, and consultants to ensure efficient project delivery.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a focus on commercial refurbishment projects.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (RICS accreditation is a plus).
* Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, and procurement processes.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Experience with cost estimating software and project management tools.
