We are recruiting for a HR Assistant to join our HR team.
Responsibilities
1. Maintaining employee records ensuring compliance with GDPR and Company Policies.
2. Drafting adverts and job specs for recruitment, screening CVs and arranging interviews.
3. Acting as note taker at interviews and/or other formal HR meetings.
4. Handle HR documentation relating to contracts, performance reviews, probation reviews, changes to terms, absence and payroll, ensuring the relevant systems are kept up to date and that any associated letters are produced.
5. Support the HR Advisor with managing absence and providing guidance to managers in relation to absence management.
6. Support disciplinary and grievance processes by preparing documentation and taking notes during meetings.
7. Develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with Company values, evolving employment law and recognised good practice.
8. Assist managers and staff with the interpretation of HR policies and processes.
9. Carry out ad hoc project work as requested by the Managing Director and Head of Business Support, as appropriate, reporting findings as required.
Skills
1. Proven experience in an HR role or relevant administrative position.
2. CIPD qualified (level 3) with at least 2 years’ experience working at an assistant level in a fast-paced environment.
3. Business centred HR understanding.
4. A good understanding of employment legislation and best practice in HR.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Good organisational skills.
7. High literacy & numeracy skills.

Part time 25 hrs per wk (5 hours per day)
