The role – what you’ll be doing
* Being a positive and active member of our communications team, driving forward our communications strategy to support achievement of our mission, vision, and values.
* Working closely with colleagues in Human Resources to support delivery of our People Strategy, focusing on our EVP - including highlighting our commitment to learning and development - and recruitment, showcasing how we are an employer of choice.
* Supporting the Head of Communications, particularly with creation and delivery of all internal communications.
* Creating engaging, multi-channel content for internal and external audiences.
Policy and Communications – the team you’ll be part of
* Enabling our Partner Funds to retain and enhance their trust and confidence in Border to Coast.
* Positioning our Partner Funds positively in the minds of external stakeholders as leading long-term investors.
* Exerting influence with policy-makers to ensure that the framework around pooling continues to deliver value for our Partner Funds.
* Protecting and enhancing the reputation of Border to Coast as the leading LGPS pool.
* Driving colleague understanding of, and engagement with, the mission, values, and strategy of Border to Coast.
* Promoting Border to Coast as a leading employer and an attractive organisation for people to join.

* You’ll have a passion for building understanding of our purpose, strategy, and culture, promoting transparency and delivering excellent communication.
* You’re a self-starter with initiative who excels in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
* You’ll have strong organisational and planning skills and be comfortable with multi-tasking.
* You’ll be able to work under pressure to strict deadlines and have a solid level of numeracy, understanding financial data.
* You’ll be a first-rate communicator and team player, able to build effective working relationships and produce creative content that will enhance and develop our friendly, supportive, and inclusive culture.
* Your background and experience in internal communications will help us to continue to embed our EVP, company values, and behaviours with colleagues.

About Us
Border to Coast is the largest LGPS (Local Government Pension Scheme) pool in the UK. It is owned by 11 Local Government Pension Schemes (‘Partner Funds’). The Partner Funds represent 3,100 employers and over a million members.
The Partner Funds have c.£64bn in investments, of which Border to Coast is responsible for managing £47.9bn (as of 31 March 2024). Border to Coast also provides support and advice on a further £8.2bn, primarily invested in index funds, which sit outside of the pool.
Border to Coast offers its 11 Partner Funds investment opportunities across equities, fixed income, private markets, and global and UK real estate.
