Gap personnel have an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer to join an award-winning company based in Cardiff.
The Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer will be responsible for developing new and existing technology in-line with customer requirements, they will be responsible for leading and contributing towards multiple and often complex projects, ensuring that project development objectives are met successfully. This position will provide comprehensive technical knowledge and ability to aid in the resolution of issues and the completion of technical assignments, they will also provide support to the project engineers and team leader as required as well as mentor and supporting other members of the Electrical/Electronic section with technical aspects of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Control the design, development and evaluation, from concept to MP for new models making sure they comply with the customer requirements, liaising with other areas of R&D to ensure this is fulfilled.
2. Critically evaluate design proposals and participate in peer review meetings. Develop test procedures to validate designs. Study EMC & Signal Integrity issues, identify and eliminate design problems before sample stages.
