We are recruiting for an exciting NEW role and are seeking a creative and innovative Commercial Director to lead the revenue, sales, distribution, and digital strategies across a portfolio of 24 Frasers-branded properties in EMEA. This influential role combines strategic vision with tactical expertise, delivering performance insights through robust reporting and analytics to drive short-term results and long-term success.
What you’ll be doing as Commercial Director…
* Provide long-term strategic leadership across commercial support functions and oversee the commercial performance of the EMEA property portfolio.
* Develop, own, and implement brand-level commercial strategies and ensure alignment with short- and long-term business objectives.
* Work with the Head of Revenue to implement strategies that maximize revenue metrics, including ADR, RevPAR, TrevPAR, and occupancy rates.
* Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities, inform strategic decisions, and assess new site investments and refurbishments.
* Manage relationships with senior leadership and act as the central contact for all sales, marketing, and revenue actions across the region.
* Train, coach, and mentor senior commercial team members; develop talent pipelines and succession plans.
* Drive sales team performance, including setting KRAs, appraising results, and planning outreach activities like trade shows and exhibitions.
* Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to strategize, execute, and evaluate digital campaigns, ensuring ROI and alignment with business goals.
* Oversee departmental budgets, ensure cost-efficiency, and monitor payroll management while delivering on financial objectives.
* Own the commercial reporting schedule, provide actionable insights, and deliver monthly and quarterly performance updates.
* Optimize relationships with OTAs, GDS platforms, and other third-party distribution channels to enhance profitability and direct bookings.
* Ensure adherence to policies and procedures across all functions, updating them to align with audit requirements and business needs.
* Actively engage with industry networks, monitor competition, and remain informed about emerging trends and technologies.
* Develop and execute promotional calendars and campaigns that target core business seasons and drive revenue growth.
* Work with operations, marketing, and sales teams to align strategies, improve outcomes, and support new initiatives or business projects.
What we're looking for:
* Extensive experience working with C-suite executives, delivering strong commercial performance and strategic insights.
* Proven success managing operations across diverse brands, multiple properties, and international markets, ideally within serviced apartments, hotels or hospitality.
* Skilled in leading, developing, and managing high-performance commercial and sales teams with a culture of excellence.
* Demonstrable experience in revenue management, distribution, and reservations, with proficiency in RMS, PMS, and channel management tools.
* Track record of implementing multi-disciplinary sales and marketing plans to achieve.
* Expertise in digital marketing strategies to drive direct bookings, guest loyalty, and enhanced revenue.
* Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, making data-driven decisions, and applying strategic solutions to complex problems.
* Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities, fostering collaboration and influence.
* Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask in dynamic environments, and resilience under pressure.
* Willingness to travel nationally and adapt to fast-paced, evolving business needs.
