What you will do: Based at Ailsa Hospital, you will gain experience of whistleblowing procedure and processes and corporate governance, working in a fast-paced, dynamic and professional environment within a supportive and welcoming team. As an experienced administrator you will work closely with the Head of Corporate Governance in delivering continuous development and implementation of the Board’s corporate governance system. The role has a specific responsibility for whistleblowing coordination. To manage, coordinate and report on concerns raised under the Whistleblowing Policy in accordance with The National Whistleblowing Standards ensuring that requirements of the Standards are met such that assurance can be provided to the Board’s Whistleblowing Champion and the NHS Board. To support the Head of Corporate Governance as a point of contact for the Board Chair, Board Members, Directors and the wider organisation on corporate governance matters directing enquiries to the Head of Corporate Governance as required In delivering the role you will ensure all actions delivered are person centred, in line with the corporate objectives and comply with relevant legislation and policies (for example: The National Whistleblowing Standards, Once for Scotland Whistleblowing Policy, Public Service Reform (the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman) (Healthcare Whistleblowing) Order 2020, General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018, the national Blueprint for Good Governance, the organisation’s Code of Corporate Governance, NHS Ayrshire & Arran local policies). For further information on the role please click the link below to view the job description Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: You will work proactively and autonomously whilst maintaining effective communication with the Head of Corporate Governance and wider administrative team. With an HND in administration, or equivalent administration experience, you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be able to deal effectively with a number of simultaneous tasks and have the ability to prioritise workload to ensure that actions are delivered within deadlines. Experience of taking minutes or notes at meetings as well as a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is essential.
