The Opportunity
Working closely with industry-leading Partners, you will perform an advisory-focused, client-facing role. In addition to undertaking personal tax planning projects, you will oversee a team of experienced advisers, manage client relationships and play a critical role in developing new business. This position can be flexible on location across Glasgow, Edinburgh or Aberdeen.
The Key responsibilities can be summarised as:
* Partner responsibility for a portfolio which involves both compliance and advisory work.
* Overseeing a portfolio including professional partnerships, Estates and farms and high net worth individuals.
* Significant involvement with professional partnerships, including running tax clinics for the partners in each business and assisting with their queries and the overall tax provisioning work.
* Acting as a key point of contact for Trust experience throughout Scotland.
* Liaising with other service lines on work referrals.
* Being the lead partner for IHT reviews, capital taxes work and individual specific matters such as restructuring.
* Taking part in relevant business development activities for PC and the wider firm.
Additional responsibilities could include:
* Playing a national role in the Private Client Knowledge Hub and helping to drive a One Azets approach to PC work.
* Acting as lead regional partner on tax compliance processes across the UK and liaising with other regional representatives.
What are we looking for?
* IHT and CGT experience.
* Professional partnership experience.
* Trust experience.
* A team player- willing to support the delivery of both compliance and advisory services to clients and a desire to grow and develop our client base.
* Excellent communication and relationship skills- able to own a number of senior level relationships internally and externally.
* Experience working with a diverse client base including forestry and renewables would be an advantage.
