We are looking for a Shift Technician to join our building services team at Royal Papworth Hospital, Cambridge.
Working as a Shift Technician, you will undertake planned preventative maintenance, testing, repairs, and new installation work covering a wide range of equipment, services, systems, and buildings associated with the running of a large hospital.
What you'll do:
1. Comply with all Health Technical Memorandums (HTM) and Health Building and Safety Notifications (HBN) regulations.
2. Work safely on ELV/LV electrical systems in accordance with all statutory regulations as an appointed Competent Person.
3. Take responsibility for the maintenance of hospital equipment, plant, services, and systems, including inspection and testing of electrical and mechanical equipment and installations (including portable appliances).
4. Work safely on mechanical systems in accordance with all statutory regulations as an appointed Competent Person for SFS.
What you'll bring to the role:
1. BTEC/HNC or City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent.
2. A recognised apprenticeship.
3. Certificate in 17th Edition IEE Regulation (Current).
4. Competent person for “other” mechanical systems.
