Join our team as a Marketing Manager
The Access & Volunteers team deliver innovative marketing campaigns to attract and support under-represented groups into ICAEW membership. This includes recruitment of volunteers to support events like careers fairs, and as mentors for current ICAEW students who would benefit from additional support. The work of the team is vital in building an accountancy profession that is strong, vibrant and diverse.
Overall purpose of this role of Marketing Manager
To support a pipeline of diverse and talented people to become ICAEW Chartered Accountants through:
Building and maintaining a network of volunteers that support student attraction activity
Growing the ICAEW student mentoring scheme by attracting more mentors and mentees
Marketing Manager Responsibilities include:
* Support the Head of Access and Volunteer Programmes in meeting the team and Global Marketing, Brand and Belonging objectives.
* Manage ICAEW's student and member volunteer network by developing and executing a multi-channel marketing and communications plan, to grow the network and extend engagement with potential students and their influencers. This will include recruitment, outreach and training of volunteers, evaluation of the network and reporting.
* Manage ICAEW's ACA student mentoring scheme by developing and executing a multi-channel marketing and communications plan, to grow participation in the programme and identify new applications for the mentoring platform. This will include, driving applications to the scheme, onboarding of mentors and mentees, ongoing support to participants, successful completion of the scheme, evaluating performance and reporting on impact.
* Support the Head of Access and Volunteer Programmes with the preparation of key reports and analysis, including monthly board reports, internal/external stakeholder updates, campaign and project effectiveness and student intake.
* Identify and deliver new campaigns and projects based on changes to the internal and external environment, which could include development of the ICAEW Foundation and use of ambassadors to support ACA student attraction and recruitment.
* Support the delivery of the wider team's projects as required.
* In all activity, manage budget and timescales effectively, and as agreed. Make recommendations for activity to be ceased, adjusted, trialled. Maintain and build a cleansed database of ambassadors/volunteers. Conduct regular competitor and sector research around key areas of responsibility.

Marketing Manager Candidate Profile
* Marketing degree / professional qualification (or equivalent experience) essential.
* Marketing background, preferably within the recruitment, voluntary, charity or education sector.
* Working with and influencing people, internal and external, across all levels of seniority.
* Preparing, executing and measuring effectiveness of plans and campaigns across the marketing and communications mix.
* Proven experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, balancing their needs with the needs of the organisation.
* Previous experience of working with volunteers and/or temporary staff across a wide geographic area (desirable).
* Knowledge of professional/financial services / membership organisation, recruitment or/an education sector (desirable).
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Creative and innovative.
* Good IT/digital skills.
* Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
* Occasional travel within the UK (possibly with overnight stays away). Occasional international travel a possibility.
