As a fast-going software technology company, IQGeo is seeking a communication and media relations director to play an integral role in public/media relations (external), corporate communications (internal), and content creation for our company. Reporting to the CMO, this is a new role within the organization that was formally performed by an external PR agency and is being extended to include a focus on internal communications. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape this role and establish it as a vital and valued function across the business. Main Duties: Connect with influential telecom and utility industry news outlets and journalists to place stories about company news and thought-leadership content Establish and maintain relationships with key industry analysts and influencers Define and manage an internal communication strategy for our growing business and support our corporate intranet portal Contribute to social media campaigns and activities (primarily LinkedIn) Create content regularly to grow the company’s footprint (press releases, corporate announcements, articles, and creative content) Manage award submission programme Collaborate with prominent members of the company, including executives, to craft and pitch press releases, video interviews, and blog content Support IQGeo’s growing partner ecosystem with thought leadership and promotional content Establish a sustainable, proactive approach to PR based on adding value to media outlets Propose ad and promotional schedule for print and digital in line with publishers feature lists Support and develop a communication strategy for IQGeo’s sustainability and carbon neutral status externally and internally Establish, support, and promote IQGeo’s company voice and brand guidelines Coordinate and manage the IQGeo partner ecosystem communications Take responsibility of partner onboarding and drafting press releases for announcements, creating content with partners, growing those relationships for the benefit of both companies Competitor media analysis, bench marking and reporting Define an influencer outreach strategy Key Communication and Technical Experience Communication and PR track record with enterprise B2B software Experience with SEO and keyword management A passion for technology and the ability to translate this into compelling stories Effective communication with global teams, juggle multiple priorities, deliver on objectives Collaborative working across marketing and the wider organization Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and customer interaction skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to function well in a high-paced and, at times, stressful environment Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite Experience with marketing automation tools (HubSpot) Education and Work Experience BA/BS or equivalent working experience 5 years of external and internal communication experience Journalist or PR background desirable Experience managing staff as this role includes one direct report What’s In it For You 25 days of paid holiday, with the opportunity to purchase further days up to a total of 30.
