We're looking for an established public sector procurement professional to join us and help us deliver on our strategy across a range of our critical categories of spend, with a focus towards ICT and professional services categories.
You'll be a key player in advancing the Procurement team, delivering a 'Best in Class' service for our stakeholders. As our procurement expert you'll innovate, shape and execute strategies that deliver genuine business value.
Typical day as a Procurement Category Manager
1. Concentrate on minimising and optimising external expenditure whilst ensuring adherence to procurement guidelines.
2. Develop, implement and lead on category strategies and tender processes for high value, complex spend categories.
3. Cultivate and manage relationships with our major suppliers, key stakeholders, and internal departments, driving performance and improvements. You deliver great operational performance and foster collaboration throughout.
