Job Purpose To support the People Training Delivery team in the development and delivery of training courses and assessment of competence relating to the technical capability and safety of colleagues in roles across Wastewater Treatment. Job Accountabilities Liaison with senior colleagues across Wastewater Treatment to understand training, development and assessment requirements. Time spent within business areas developing wider technical understanding of the business. Work with business subject matter experts and wider industry working groups to develop course content and supporting material that is applicable to UU. Development of course content which can be mapped onto recognised water industry frameworks. Development of schemes of work and lesson plans for each course. Delivery of training to both apprentices and colleagues across Wastewater Treatment and wider as required. Review of approach and success of training. Assessment of development and learning progress of delegates Assessing competence and observation of work in the field. Knowledge And Skills Demonstrable industry experience of Wastewater Treatment processes. A comprehensive working knowledge of typical Wastewater Treatment processes including operation and control, planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repair of plant, assets and equipment. A comprehensive working knowledge of Wastewater Treatment process which includes operational experience of a variety of treatment sites and processes. Level 2 qualified in Wastewater Treatment related activity The ability to develop content to match immediate business needs, utilising existing knowledge and research. Self-motivated with the ability to communicate well with field staff and management. Attained or work towards a recognised teaching and/or assessor qualification. Desirable to hold a relevant H&S qualification e.g IOSH, NEBOSH, Level 3 Management of Health & Safety in the Workplace.
