As a project engineer, you will be working for a local council and you will be responsible for finalising detailed design drawings and preparing PCI documentation for the Towns Fund project.
This project includes footway widening, the installation of a new puffin crossing, and side road entry treatments. Construction is scheduled to commence in mid to late April. Following this, you will oversee the construction phase, addressing any design queries that arise, and agreeing CE’s.
What you'll need to succeed
* BSC (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering or related experience
* Valid UK driving licence (for site visits).
* Experience in all stages of design and construction of civil engineering projects
* Proficiency in using AutoCAD & Civil 3D for design and modelling.
* Knowledge of relevant design standards, regulations, and specifications, including: DMRB (Design Manual for Roads and Bridges), TSRGD (Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions), Manual for Streets and CDM Regulations (Construction, Design & Management).
* Experience and knowledge of highway contracts, specifications, method of measurement, item coverage and pricing schedules relating to highway projects and schemes.
* Understanding of NEC4 contracts, public sector frameworks, specifications and methods of measurement.
The role is paying £33 - 41 p/h - 6-month contract
