We are recruiting for two engineers to join a large pharmaceutical manufacturing company based on the South Coast near Brighton. The role would suit engineers who have either worked in a packaging environment previously and are familiar with the kind of automated machinery used in this fast-paced production or a skilled maintenance engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias who is willing to learn.
THE ROLE
The primary role is to assist in breakdowns and repairs to production equipment on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will have some familiarity with production equipment like Vision Systems and Blister machinery, Flow wrappers, etc., but if you don't have experience with this equipment, there could still be room to work here in more of a PPM role until you are up to speed on the machinery.
THE SHIFT
This is a shift-based role, covering both days and nights with shifts lasting 12.25 hours. There are no nights on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, so only days on the weekend and then a mixture of days and nights during the week. It's a complex pattern which we can share with you if you want more information.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintenance, repairs, and breakdown support.
2. Safety, both in daily work and carrying out risk and method statements for work to be done.
3. Compliance, this is a pharmaceutical environment, and documenting the work carried out forms a large part of working in a compliant manner. Accurately completing this is expected as part of this role.
4. Continuous improvement, this is a progressive client and environment where everyone's voice is listened to. You will be encouraged to identify opportunities to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
NEXT STEPS
Please apply to this role if you would like to discuss it with a recruiter. They will work with you to ensure you are considered for the role if suitable and will guide you through the two-stage interview process. They will be able to provide further information about the role.
