ACR have a number of exciting positions for Quantity Surveyors to join a rapidly expanding national House Builder based in Essex. Our client have a few positions available and can recruit Quantity Surveyors or Senior Quantity Surveyors on both a permanent or contract basis.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
* The negotiation & letting of subcontracts within required timescales.
* Providing the cost-data feedback to Divisional Estimating Department.
* Administration & management of the financial aspects of the development.
* Reviewing and forecasting the latest cost estimates and reporting including monthly cost reviews.
* Attendance at relevant site meetings.
* Ensure the payment of subcontractors, measured work and variations are paid in a timely manner.
* Working with external employers such as Housing Associations undertaking valuations, cash flow forecasts, obtaining warranties, etc.
* Assist at all times in maintaining a safe working environment within Company workplaces and applying the Company’s Health & Safety Policy for their own, their colleagues, third parties and the public’s benefit. Individuals must act to minimise danger and report all potential dangers and accidents to their immediate superior or designated Health & Safety Officer.
* Looking at VE options and alternatives to make suitable cost savings and value.
* The specification of materials and plant in accordance with the Group Agreements.
* Responsibility for allocated projects, including cost management, cost reporting and subcontract management.
* Managing subcontract accounts – measured works and variations.
* Checking orders are raised accurately and in timely fashion.

For this role, you must have previous house building experience, have a minimum of 4 years experience and have COINS experience
