Job summary
Senior Occupational Therapist - Part-time permanent position, providing patient-centered Occupational performance assessment and discharge planning for inpatients on the acute medical & surgical inpatient wards at Salisbury District Hospital. Working autonomously within a friendly and effective physiotherapy & OT team with shared therapy assistant support.
With a focus on quality, improvement and collaboration.
Main duties of the job
Assessment of acute inpatient functional needs to facilitate safe, timely hospital discharge.
Assessment and provision of equipment to increase independence and wellbeing in discharge environment.
Liaison with families, carers, agencies, community resources and the MDT to ensure patients needs and wishes are recognised, supported and met ( where appropriate).
Service development/improvement - through QI projects, self and team development and continuous review of practice.

1. Current HCPC registration
