Job Details
The post holder will be responsible for the operation of the Resource Unit, assisting with an exciting new project within the Health and Social Care Partnership. Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure the Total Mobile and Carelink system is maintained.
2. Deliver training in Total Mobile/Carelink and problem solve.
3. Advise on scheduling issues and emergency situations; deal with complaints effectively.
4. Staff management including supervision.
5. Liaise with Team Managers, Lead Officers, Home Care Co-ordinators, Community Support Coordinators, Business Technology Solution Staff, and external companies.
6. Collate/prepare statistical returns as required.
7. Record using appropriate IT systems and procedures.
8. Maintain accurate, up-to-date databases for all relevant service user records.
9. Take responsibility for the effective application of information management systems.
10. Identify training and development needs of staff, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and best practice in care standards.
11. Take responsibility for Care at Home Service outside of office hours.
The Person
SVQ level 3 in care or equivalent and/or relevant recognised professional qualification or equivalent experience is required. Supervisory certificate (15 credits at level 7) or SVQ 2/HNC in care is needed, and you must attain SVQ 3 in care within your first period of registration. Significant experience in a relevant setting and management experience in a care setting is essential.
Ability to register with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Supervisor of a care at home service and remain on the register is required. If you do not currently hold all the required qualifications, you can still be granted registration subject to the condition that you achieve the required qualifications within your first period of registration.
Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
